We hear that rap artist and Maybach Music Group founder Rick Ross has recently purchased the former mansion and estate of boxing champion Evander Holyfield. The 109 room mansion was sold at a foreclosure auction in June 2012 for $ 7.5 million. Sold to a local bank, Holyfield owed over $14 million on the estate at the time of the auction. Known as the Largest Single Family Home in GA at nearly 54,000 sq ft on almost 105 acres, the estate features 12 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, and a dining room that seats 100 people. The 350,000 gallon pool is said to be one of the largest pools in the United States.
The mansion was designed by local Atlanta architects PFVS (Portman Fuchtman Vinson Sunderland) Architects. The estate also features an 7 stall barn and another 4,000 sq ft second home. Built in 1994, it is said that the mansion and estate cost in excess of $1 million annually to maintain. The sale was handled by The Campbell Team at KELLER WILLIAMS Realty Atlanta Partners. Though not confirmed, we believe he paid the asking price of $7,890,000.00.
